Minor nitpick, though. The icons next to each forum that indicate there are new posts are too similar in colour to the ones that indicate that there are no new posts. I have to squint just to tell them apart. Perhaps there could be a greater difference between the "New Posts" and "No New Posts" icons?

That aside, very nice.

Yeah I thought that too. The new indicators could possibly do with being a slightly brighter shade.

One thing I don't like... The background colour of the quotes, it's too light a colour. Maybe the brownish colour would be better for that.
