Since rextheovermind has the utter privelege of living the dream and becoming a palaentologist (I envy you so much, I remember the days when I sent Cameron Thor an email asking him if I should live my dream and do archaeology and he told me to go for it!), i thought I'd start a thread where everyone says where they work/go to school/study.
Me? I live in Brisbane, Australia and I'm currently studying a double degree of Law and Business (Accountancy) at the Queensland University of Technology. I'm also currently employed at Polo Ralph Lauren in Brisbane City and I coach soccer.
See? Not exactly the dream (I repeat, so envious, rextheovermind), but it's okay. How about all of you?
rextheovermind is a palaentologist, what are you?
I'm an English major. I suck. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
No, I'm not going to be a teacher, and the next person who asks will get their face gnawed off by rabid hamsters. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

I'm currently living my dream... since I was 11 (after seeing JP) I wanted to be a filmmaker. Took some film classes while in high school, then went to study at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Since I really enjoyed art as well, I majored in it. I also sell a lot of my works, so if you're interested in hanging some artwork in your law office-- you know who to call /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> LOL! Now I'm off to the University of Southern California to get my Masters in Fine Arts-- Film Production.
Love my film and love my art... but because of that I'll die broke and you won't... LOL!

LOL! Ms. DNA, I know the feeling all too well-- esp. when I was majoring in art. It's just one of those occupations that everyone automatically thinks you'll be a teacher for.

Hahaha! It is a relief to know we English majors aren't alone in our peril! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
As for what I'm going to do with the major, well, I'm taking the technical writing emphasis (not, and I repeat NOT THE TEACHING emphasis /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />), which so far is pretty interesting, plus I hear there's pretty good money in it, so, *shrugs* Who knows. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
