Yet then again King Kong is more about a Giant Monkey then dinosaurs. Sure there are dinosaurs in it, but still.

You seem to have forgotten that the dinos in PJ's KK are geared towards looking a bit monstrous and somehwat disproportionate rather than realistic, as is the case in JP.

Jurassic Park IV hasn't been delayed because of King Kong. It's been delayed because no one really cares. There aren't many good writers or directors in Hollywood that are willing to risk their careers over it. Plus, from the Studio's standpoint it's risky to invest in a sequel these days. The general public has lost interest because of the over-whelming amount of sequels crapped out in recent years. Besides, the last sequel in a franchise usually makes the least amount of money, and turns the film series into a punch-line.

Even if things got rolling on JPIV right now, it still wouldn't come out til a LONG time after King Kong has had its run through theaters...so no, I don't think it has anything to do with JP.

Yeah, what the person above said, the only reason it's been taking a while is because they've been rewriting scripts, from recent news there supposed to be ready for filming in the summer of 2006 so thats good if true, hopefully this big announcement coming soon which we should expect any day now says something important about the film, we can only hope that this big announcement is official by Universal, anythings possible at this point.

If not, we could write the script, edit it and stuff... and get a crew to work on producing the movie...

Really, do we own a multi-million dollar budget, have rights to make the film and have the resources. It would nice to make a fan film version (like someone please remake Jurassic Park 3 and do it RIGHT!)
