New character, new location, and new mysteries.
I was thinking that Ingen made a third and final site that was 100% confidential, somehwere in South America. They made the site to preserve the dinosaurs completely after the incident on Isla Nublar. Time passes and Isla Sorna is destroyed by the Costa Rican Government with help from the U.S. . Ingen is gone because of bankruptcy, and Site C was abandoned and forgotten... Locals in the area have occaisionly been attacked by rouge dinosaurs who escaped their mountain valley home. Scientists who are studying something in the area hear rumors and venture to this location and then learn that another company has started making new dinosaurs in a hidden compound deep in the valley. This company is using the dinosaurs for some other types of profit...rich collecter and hunter collect and kil them...so on and so forth...Scientists get caught up in the mess...and so a story is born...

I'm so sorry... My Computer craped, so i've had no time to work on it really here whats new you guys add what you want and tell me what to change the first part hasn't changed much though i did make some slight changes to it...
Here it is


A small village in southwestern Costa Rica, The village men are all busy working on there daily task,

A group of young children is found playing on the outskirts of the village, at the edge of the dense jungle around them. The kids look to be playing a game of hide and seek, they aren’t scared of the jungle as of now.

The camera now moves into a small hut, a small group of women are huddled around a project (project will be determined after research). The women seem frantically worried about some thing. They begin to talk revealing what they are so timid about.
A series of attacks on children and small animals have been reported by neighboring villages. The women seem to be agitated greatly by this. The eldest of the women says children will go out late in the evenings and are heard screaming in the woods. When they are found they have small bites all over there body and become very ill. Along with these attacks people have also come up missing, (during this seen, shots of wounded victims from the attacks will be shown in detail along with women crying as to simulate loosing a loved one) grown men and women, boys and girls, pets. People will just go off into the jungle and never come back!

:Now the camera pans up and we see a dark haired modernised woman she is ethnic to the reigon She then relays the next message:

Along with theses missing people and periodic attacks large lizards have also been reported, never alive though; only their dead carcasses are found. But these monsters are thought of as a bad omen and there presence is not to be taken likely, these creatures are referred to as the ‘hupia’ Kidnappers that still babies at night. The villagers fear that these monsters will bring them harm and that they are the work of evil spirits.

The Children
adolesents warn the other younger children not to go to far from the village because of their elder’s warnings of evil spirits and animals in the jungle. : The kids all disperse to there hiding places in the woods:
:The camera follows one young boy as he passes a pair of girls, The girls turn as he walks by warning him not to go to much further into the jungle. The young boy shrugs them off as he is walking through the dense foliage, (you get the sense that he is exploring more than he is hiding)

:The camera follows him as he walks seeing what he sees and hearing what he hears: A small rustle of leaves startles the boy but it’s just a small mammal a monkey or some kind of squirrel,

:Camera snaps back to the villiage. a man is seen carving a sculpture in the background the reporter is finishing up her report and sighns off, small talk between the reporter and camera man is exchanged:
The young boy
The boy walks a bit further and finds a good hiding spot in a ditch below a tree. You can hear the faint sounds of the village not to far off. Then there is another sound a light chirp from above, just over the crest of the ditch and then there is another chirp from the other side. :The camera watches the boy as he listens to the noises wondering what they are. Then the camera pans down and we realize that he has stepped onto some small looking bird like eggs and broken a few, the yolks spilling to the ground, the boy does not realize this: The boy listens intently as the chirps become more erratic, It seems as if the chirps are growing in number and they sound agitated and excited. The little boy looks up to see two small lizards (compys) looking down at him hissing, the boy is startled and begins to scream,

The Villiage
In the village the shouts and screams of the boy can be heard, local men run into the jungle, The camera follows them threw the foliage as they hack at it with large knives.. The reporter and camera man follow.

The young boy
The screams change to a quiet whimper as he begins to sob and cry, he scrambles up the hillside working his way out of the ditch,: The camera follows the boy up the side of the ditch from behind him, the camera ends up looking between his legs at multiple compys: The boy then is bitten twice in the leg. He yells at the compys, as they jump on to his body in an aggressive manner. :The camera sees the boys feet stumbling back and fourth, compys fall to the ground, there jaws and snouts covered in blood, only to hop right back up again and leap into the air.

Then there is a view through the TV camera, as it follows the reporter, of the men as they come to see the boy lying on the ground covered in green lizards, he’s still screaming loudly. The men pause, then instantly they begin to yank the small reptiles off the boy hurling them through the jungle. One man is seen throwing them hard on the ground and then stepping on them.
(Whole scene is done in subtitles to add realism)
Fade to black:
Set in black the definition of ‘hupia’ is shown

A young man with a ball cap on sits in a hotel room watching the news half heatedly while reading a book on small dinosaurs, the news is in Spanish, The young man hears of the incident and pays very close attention. Looking away from his book he sets it down and begins writing down what the news has said. :Camera pans up at his face, He’s young about 23 to 25 years old a look of intense interest is on his face He has a scraggily dark beard and blue eyes: The man slaps the note book down and pick up a cell phone.
The Hotel room door opens..
Guitierrez: Richard,…. I’ve got another one
Levine: Yeah I was just about to call you (sets phone down) It’s sad.. (shakes his head)
Guitierrez: Sad!… This is great!
Levine: It’s never great when it happens to a child
Guitierrez: a child?
Levine: yeah, one of our compys just got a kid
Guitierrez: Oh no, is the kid ok?
Levine: They said he was in critical condition, But villagers killed some of the small lizards and kept them,
Guitierrez: Where did it happen
Levine: just east of Golfito today,.. In a small village called uh.. (refers to his notes on the news) Selva verde
Guitierrez: Really?
Levine: Yes, But villagers killed some of the small lizards and kept them
Guitierrez: Good that gives us a specimen to look at.
Levine: Not if we don’t get down there before the government does
Guitierrez: Well that will have to wait because I have something that will blow your mind.
Levine: what’s that?
Guitierrez: They found another one…
Levine: …….a big one? (In a clam, serious manner)
Guitierrez: Yep, and actually it’s close by the area of that attack, its about twenty miles south of Golfito
Levine: When are we leaving?
Guitierrez: ..Now (pulls out a cell phone)…
: Guitierrez leaves the room Levine begins to gather items:

:A helicopter is seen flying along the coast line as the sun is setting, Levine and Guitierrez are in the helicopter:

Levine: how’d you hear about this?
Guitierrez: I know people
Levine: No really?
Guitierrez: Well I’ve got a small lab in Golfito and some students working there
Levine: They found this?
Guitierrez: Yep.. and they haven’t told a soul, so we should be-
(cutting in)
Levine: How will they keep people from finding out?
Guitierrez: Golfito sits just above an animal refuge, The animal was found on a beach within the refuge
Levine:Oh,…. do they know about the incident in Selva verde
Guitierrez: Yep, I have a student on his way now to pick up a specimen.. Ah (smiles) theres Golfito…. almost there!.. Selva Verde sits on the northern end of the refuge in fact-
Levine: (in a bewildered voice)it’s strange how they’re attacking.. small animals like this are usually scavengers
Guitierrez: Yes and I still believe they are.. I just think they are territorial and they’re protecting there territory, your right though it is strange how they are acting.
Levine: Yes they are aggressive almost like birds but they attack in packs.
Guitierrez: a lot like birds actually…
Levine: I think this specimen will definitely give us an upper hand in letting the world know that Costa Rica has a problem
Guitierrez: Whoa!
(a large shape is seen lying on the beach, its about 20 feet in length and near the edge of the trees)
Levine: Alright…. That thing is huge…
:Camera shows helicopter landing and Levine jumping out and running toward the animal)

Levine: (laughing) I can’t believe this..
Guitierrez: wait up…
(Both men get to within 10 feet of the animal and are immediately halted by the smell of rotting flesh and decay crabs scurry away as they close in. but the carcass is covered in large flies. Levine begins to snap pictures)

Guitierrez: Whew we this thing reeks….
Levine: Yes it’s had to of been out here more than a day or so
Guitierrez: Well… what do you think it is?
Levine: I dunno,… But if I had to guess I would say a large carnotaurus.
Guitierrez: hmmm?
Levine: Yep, a pure breed of dinosaur just like the compys we’ve been finding.
Guitierrez: how did these things get here, an animal this large would’ve been hard to miss..
Levine: I dunno… The compy’s I can see.. but these animals are way to large,

:Levine looks at the specimen closely:
Levine: If an animal this large got off one of those islands I don’t want to think about what else got over here..
Guitierrez: that’s a scary thought,…. I mean, if there are other animals on the main land,… then they’ve had to of reproduced and created there own ecosystems

:Various shots of Gutierrez and Levine analyzing the species, both men swatting at flies and making a disgusted face:

Levine: Were running out of day light
Guitierrez: yes we’ll need to cover the sight and resume work tomorrow
Levine: well, we’ll need a sample before this thing decays any further…. mind doing the honors of getting some tissue samples? (Levine is holding a knife out for Guitierrez to use)
Guitierrez: (frowning) I guess…. (starts to cut… then gags)… whew this thing smells awful… how much? Levine: just a couple from above the thigh or tail… (fidgets with a black brief case looking box with a syringe in side of it)
: As Levine readies the syringe a low thumping sound is heard, It’s the sound of propeller blades)
Levine: What’s that?
Guitierrez: sounds like a helicopter
Levine: (looks at Gutierrez, and then looks ovr his shoulder)
:A helicopter burst out from above the jungle behind them, It swings out over the water and then circles back to land on the beach it is a black huey helicopter:
Levine: Who the hell is that?
Guitierrez: It’s our greatest competition
Levine: hurry hide the camera film and samples (Levine hurries to get a blood sample)
Guitierrez: (stuffing the samples into his pockets) Do we protest?
Levine: I wish,..... we just have to take what we have and go
: Levine and Guitierrez gather their materials and Guitierrez starts to head back to there own helicopter. Levine stays at the site! The government men getting off the helicopter are all warring mask and one of them has a metal backpack on. The men begin to walk toward Levine
Levine: (Yelling at the officals) What do you plan to do with this specimen (a man walks by pushing him to the ground cursing him in Spanish, Levine then sees the man with the metal backpack pull out a long wand another man lights a butane lighter, Levine realizes the men are going to burn the animal)?
Levine: No (Levin walks toward the group of men) , don’t you realize how important this is… are you out of your mind! (One of the men looks at Levine gesturing that he doesn’t understand English, Levine gets closer to the man yelling) This could be the most amazing find of the 21st century… (Levine closes in on the man gesturing at him, The man then punches Levine in the stomach, and Levine shuts up quickly gasping for air)
Agent 1: Look Gringo, If you don’t shut up (pulls a small 22 pistol out of his over coat)…. I have a bullet with your name on it. So shut up…. (Smiles) or I’ll shut you up. Now you can watch us burn this thing or you can get the hell outta here.
Levine: Yes S- (coughs) sir
Guitierrez: (seeing his friend in trouble he drops the samples and film removing them from his pockets and runs over to help up Levine) are you ok? (The government official has reconciled his weapon and moved away)
Levine: Yes! (Coughs hard as he regains his breath… They head back to the helicopter)
Agent1: Scientist, huummmff. our country doesn’t need this…(points to creature) you bastards can tell any one you want, but they won’t believe you…. Oh Gringo… you left your camera (laughs with other agents and lightly tosses the camera on to the carcass as they begin to burn it) OOPS! (laughs)

:Levine and Guitierrez climb back onto their helicopter:
(Helicopter pilot cusses Guitierrez in Spanish, saying he should’ve left them and they could’ve all been killed, Levine and Guitierrez ignore him)
Levine: I wonder why they didn’t question us
Guitierrez: They’re thugs that’s why, you’re lucky to be alive-
Levine: tell me about it
Guitierrez: They aren’t cut out to do real work for the government so they go out and burn these things, they’re just… Thugs.. They don’t care to think about whether or not we have any info or film they assumed it was in your camera…

:Helicopter lifts and flies away:
:Fade to Black/ or a switch to the next scene

Dodgson…

A jungle canopy flashes by the camera at a high rate of speed, you see a plane slowly pan into the frame. The plane then burst out over an open field, the camera slows but follows the plane as it precedes forward.
:Cockpit:

: A man is seen with head set on and sunglasses, his hair is thinning and he looks middle aged. The man has thin lips and looks uptight; he is thin and is warring a blue polo shirt. Suddenly a look of happiness and glee come over his face as he leans forward:

Dodgson: What’d I tell ya! Huh? Just look at them, (laughter is heard in the cockpit, a voice is heard gasping another says wow!)

: Camera is looking through the plane window at a river with large herbivores around it; the next shot shows Dodgson turning around happily saying, “isn’t that amazing? I mean don’t they look huge?”
Another man is shown, heavy set and he is lightly sweating. He is warring a Hawaiian button up shirt and is pulling his shades down to get a better view.

Dodgson: isn’t that amazing? I mean aren’t they huge?
Baselton: (in a monotone far away dazed voice) Yes….
Dodgeson: Well King, you feeling better?

: King is shown leaning against the side of the cockpit sweating heavily and looking pretty sick. He is wearing a blue polo shirt like Dodgson and a baseball cap.

King: (mumbles) I hate flying (as he peers through the window) (excitedly) Jesus (His eyes light up and a look of terror comes over his face)

: Camera is looking down at the field through the plane window as a tyrannosaurus lunges from the edge of the woods and attacks a small maiasaur, The Camera is then down by the attack as the Tyrannosaurus slams the body to the ground, and takes a quick bite out of the smaller dino. As the plane flies by overhead we see the Tyrannosaur look up as if wondering what the plane was (a low growl from the t-rex):

Dodgson: (Monotone) Well... thats something you don't see every day
Baselton: (same tone as before) Yes…
King: Just land the plane so we can see this so called laboratory your talking about,
Dodgson: almost there
King: Im really getting sick... I think

: Camera shows the plane fly over head and then touch down on an isolated un-kept runway, The plane is shown taxing:

Dodgson: (sarcastically) another successful mission!
King: This area is protected right?
Dodgson: Yes it has electric fences around the compound
Baselton: You already have two guys here right?
Dodgson: Yes there here, there’s their plane. (pointing forward)
: Camera shows Baselton squinting to see:
Baselton: Where?
Dodgson: under that canopy over there, it’s camouflaged
Baselton: O’, why?
Dodgson:(pauses) Because what were doing is considered Illegal
King: What? (Suddenly more aware of what was going on) You never said any of this stuff was illegal in our meeting with Dr. Benson!
Dodgson: That’s cuz he already knew
Baselton: (Leaning forward) It’s only illegal if you get caught
Dodgson: exactly

: Camera shows the plane coming to a stop and a door automatically opens turning into a stair case, Baselton exits first, gingerly navigating the narrow steps, He is followed by a smiling Dodgson who looks very excited, then King emerges belching as he gets to the bottom of the stairs, making an awful face:

Its sorta rough... but i'll make changes!
im gonna go to sleep, you guys take care, and keep those people in New Orleans and Mississippi in your thoughts and payers...

um...didn't you say you liked all our ideas? you only took about 2 or 3 of our suggestions. and didn't you say you were taking out the cursing?


for the helicopter ride over dinosaurs, you might want to wait until later on in the movie to reveal that many dinosaurs. it increases anticipation and has a more dramatic effect. this is especially true for the T-Rex. people would most likely want to T-Rex to make a big entrance, causing a threat to the characters. maybe if you save that ride for later on, and replace the T-Rex with another carnivore, it would work a little better.

i'll have a more thorough opinion tomorrow, but that's the most notable thing i saw.

Well There is cursing in the JP movies,.. and unlike most people im not really worried about who I offend ie.. your comment about the costa rican government,.. This is a script I am sharing with you guys.... NOW! If you would like to incorperate a scene in to the script that is fine, Copy the script I have written and change it if you like and then repost. But don't expect me to be able to incorperate your ideas all by my self! I have a hard enough time keeping up with my own imagination. I have kind of laid the ground work, as far as this script goes, feel free to add to it! but don't act like I smacked you in the face because your sceen wasn't put in there,...

If you want, take the script into your own hands and change it however you like. thats why i posted it. If i didn't want you guys to help or see it I wouldn't post it on the internet. but don't act like I intentionally don't like your ideas I think alot of them are great!! just bare in mind we aren't always going to see eye to eye! Have fun with this and please don't get offended!

Chase, hon... calm down. You sound a bit stresses and intense there.
Ok, the thing is..., I honestly thing we're not working on this script the way a pro would.
So far, its been all internet based... (no problem with that, not like we could do much else), but I have this feeling we're not really discussing this like a team. So far, we've all given suggestions but I don't think enough people are contributing their ideas here. So far, its only been a handful of people and nothing else besides that.
I think we need to look at ALL the possible things we could do with the script. I think you've done a great job of it Chase, and I really would like to thank you for the time you've put into it. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Please keep posting your ideas... I'm sure we'd love to hear more from you.
If there's anything I'd like to suggest, its just that I'd kinda like EVERYONE to think how the characters would naturally act and talk. We've been doing a good job of it so far, but a few bits and pieces are a bit loose and not so right. For example (no offense anyone)...:
Having Dodgson react like this: "Dodgson: (Cheering) All right! that was awesome!" is not real enough. It doesn't seem like a Dodgson-reaction... If you do recall JP, Dodgson was the type of person who seemed a bit secretive, quiet and tense. He's a lot like the charcter "Torn" from the Jak2/Jak3 (PS2) game...
Ok, well I'm guessing I'm blabbing away now, but I'd like someone to at least take some of points seriously...

Oh, and PLEASE, PLEASE DO post any or all of your ideas down here! I think it would be worth considering what others would like to see...

i dunno where you got the impression that i was offended. you seem unecessarily hostile for this. all i was saying was that it was unusual for you to say you liked the ideas and didn't use them. also, it is illogical and hard to believe that it takes so much effort to go through it and make a few changes.

if you want me to post my version then fine, i'll do so. but you'll have to give me writing credit, as well as for anyone else who gave the ideas. i'll work on it now, and i'll include the good ideas that other people came up with.


as for the cursing, only Jurassic Park had the word $h!t in it about 5 times, and neither of the sequels. not only was it used sparingly, but it was used appropriately. Malcolm used it in comedic context. Ellie used it on the tour but it was almost under her breath in a whisper. other than that, she used it when she was scared, being chased by the T-Rex and being attacked by the Raptor. the way they used it isn't exactly the innappropriate cursing that people use offensively. the way you use it is the way people dissapprove of. it is completely cursing and unecessary in it's context. cursing someone off is different than cursing due to the situation.

as for not caring about offending people, well that's a very interesting approach, but not a very nice one. that one scene alone would offend a lot of hispanics and law enforcement/government workers. but if you don't want to be considerate of your very large audience, that's your choice.

I edited the scene with the village and inter-twined it with the women in the hut
I think its pretty cool needs some work tho and the spelling is probably horrible!!

I also Changed The line for Dodgson...

hey i was wondering, do you have any suggestions for another carnivore? i'm almost done with my version but i'm replacing the T-Rex with some other large carnivore..

suggestions?

maybe Allosaurus or Ceratosaurus?

oh, also, did you write it so the plane is flying IN the trees? because that doesn't seem reasonable..
