I love how you guys enjoy your freedom but act like you will refuse military service if required to defend it. Personally I'd enlist before ever getting drafted.

Well if you have to, you have to... my dad was drafted and ended up fighting in Nam, he didn't run from it.

Unfortunately for Paradox, I'm not going to sit here and explain myself. Quite frankly, he doesn't deserve the explanation. Is it just a personal fault that you can't help, or are you addicted to the thrill of stirring things up? Try to enjoy the board and accept the fact that not everyone can share your opinions because there is no right or wrong answer instead of being a dick. In case it isn't clear, I don't care about your "logic", so give it up.

hahaha..well...our freedom involves our choice of enlisting or not
look at Vietinam several of my friend's dad hated it so bad that the last thing for this country would do is have a draft probably one of the worse things to come to involving war
I'd rather not enlist so the chance of actually going to war is slimer
but I'll probably would not be going anyways..its just what I think
you care or not..I dont if you do either..I'm just sitting here bored outta my mind 2nd period /mellow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mellow.gif" />
and I dont think I ever made a post that long before *goes insane*

If ACR won't, I will.

F*ck that. I'll enlist if it's a cause I believe in. If I haven't enlisted, it's not a cause I believe in, therefore I will not go even if I'm drafted. It'll just end up with me getting court marshall'd because I refuse to carry out an order I don't agree with.
Drafting for good causes might sound like a good idea superficially, it's not. It merely sounds like one. Who will decide if it's a good enough cause to draft for? Those corrupt military muttonheads all over the western governments today? You're forgetting that different people have different opinions. Bush said going to war in Iraq was a good cause, I thought it was and still is fecking bullshit.
Then there's also the fact that drafting takes freedom away. You're not defending your freedom, you're being used as a shield.
In short, think before you spout such patriotic garbage in our faces.

uhm..
..you'd get into even more trouble if you don't take orders than leaving the country due to a draft
and "corrupt military muttonheads all over the western governments today" corrupted muttonheads? lmao yea people have their own opinions of the war of Iraq but invading Iraq I bet prevented future terroristic attacks I mean yea we're still being terrorised, for example, the Berg Case but it could of been worse but that is also a bad example because people are questioning WHY he didn't try to escape and this and that since he was trained and blah, blah, blah
this is just the beginning and people are already saying sh*t like you but then we have freedom of speech and I have the freedom of speech to say "shut the sh*t up sit back and enjoy the ride--just be happy you're not the president--'cause if you were you would really screw this country to hell"

Well, no offense meant..and I know it was meant to be a joke, but to all the females (girls, women..whatever) who honestly think it's wrong to have an equal draft for the military (god forbid we have a draft anyway..): Quit your job's, drop out of school, quit voting, and become housewives. Equal rights mean taking equal risks to men, not just equal pleasures.
