If Jurassic Park ever happened....

Could Jurassic Park ever really happen? How much of what you saw in Jurassic Park can be considered real? Discuss all of that and more here...

I have no idea, it's just a theory hasn't ever been proven or tested I don't think because it requires a change that could do that.
When all is said and done and the world is empty how much does it really matter the amount of money you had or what car you drove?

There is of course the proplem of cloning the dinosaurs. Even if you managed to get viable dna, where would you put it? With mamoths, you put it in an elephant egg cell. What do you do with dinosaurs?

Also, there would be pathogens and microbes that would kill your babie. And why would it accept meat? And dont get me started on cloning instinct.

Velociraptor28 wrote:If people cloned dinosaurs and made a theme park like Jurassic Park the dinosaurs would not be the size they were 65 million years ago. The reason I think this is I remember hearingsome where that there was about 20% more oxygen in the air than today and that was why they were so big. If they were cloned today they would be extremely smaller because of the less oxygen in the air today.
Did you know that the price of breathing is aging. Every moment were are slowly oxydizing because the proccess of breathing oxygen creates free radicals.

how about creating an environment that resembled the natural environment 65 million years ago and by putting them in enclosures with the correct composition of air.

The few flaws they had in the movie, one of which are that the Dinos wouldn't have lasted long because HOW would the scientists know about the RIGHT living conditions for their survival?

Another problem, they were raising these 'prehistoric dinos' but it seems more like they were creating a new speices of hybids instead... I mean, they were using FROG DNA, which resulted in the dinos being able to changing their erm... 'gender' at will...

Another one is that the Scientists in the movie somehow seemed to KNOW about the dinos eating habits, living habits, behaviour patterns... etc

A good example of this J.P type experiment... is something thats taking place right now in Sydney Australia... They are trying to clone the extint Tasmanian Tiger/Thylicine...trying to bring this thing back to life (you can look this up in a seach engine if you want), BUT I don't think that playing GOD is what mankind was meant to do, but this is taking place today. It's something very wrong in my opinion... I could keep going on and on... but yeah, thats all I gotta say for now...

*lol* What would have happened is that there would be some people who would try and get the government to shut it down...
Yeah...*lol*
And then people from the SPCA and ASPCA would protest againt it too...

But besides that, there would be heaps of little children begging their parents to take 'em to this amazing place...
And there would be tons of money overflowing from the tourists, just to come to this park... so in other words... the people of Jurassic Park would be wealthy...*lol*

But then there would also be the problem about the Animal Keepers being 'accidently' eaten or killed by raptors...etc. And so they would have to get the FBI/CIA or whatever to cover up that...*lol*

Aaannndd...er.... there would also be a little problem with over population of dinosaurs... and there would be a panic if an animal did manage to somehow get out of its encloser/cage...

if people can successfully manage african safaris without much problem i think they can manage jurassic park also without any problem .in africa people get killed by hippos, crocs, elephants, buffaloes and lions but there the administrators can manage that,so i think administrators of jp can also handle that.by controlling there breeding they can prevent overcrowding of dinos.

Don't you think it would be hard to control animals they don't know much about though?
