I'm actually glad that the raptor nest scene never made it into the movie. It was pretty dumb to make the raptor's nest like a giant rabbit's hole.

it was more like a cave...it's entirely possible, especially if they were trying to find nesting grounds that wouldn't be within distance of threats

It was still far-fetched, even for Jurassic Park. The entire sequence felt like they were just dragging the ending out. It would have looked dumb on film, and that's exactly why it's not in it.

it might have been cut because it wasn't exciting. i mean Speilberg cut the original Jaws ending for something more exciting. the movie ending of JP was an explosive one, instead of the nest.

actually...i don't remember, how did the nest scene end?

They find the nest, all the raptors run outside and they follow, where a heli picks em up. Island goes boom

so...they didn't actually do anything to the nest?


...i gotta read that book again...

My favorite dinosaur attack scene is when the Raptors attack Sarah, Ian and Kelly in the deserted compound in The Lost World: JP, very great scene.
