you people i think will agree that dinosaurs evolved into birds if that is the case then i think parental guidance is required as most of the birds look after their offspring.(i know there are birds that leave their chicks to fend for themselves like cuckoos and a certain species of duck, but the majority of the birds care for their young ones).

Thanks. See More evidence!

And... its likely that they did... do you have evidence for this 'theory'

In the fossilised group of horned dinosaurs called Psittacosaurus found in china, a fully grown individual was surrounded by 34 youngsters, all huddled within an area of 0.5 square meters definitely showing that the group was a family group.this shows that some dinos did show parental caring.

I know, and they have found more fossil remains like that too!

Anyway, I meant... Do you have any supporting evidence that suports your theory of them evolving in birds?

Nissin the only reason they need is saving is because we have guns and we can kill from a distance. Most animals are in trouble when they run into a croc, and so are we if we don't have some form of weapon.

*LOL*, I know... /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

But anyway, going back onto the topic.... I think that there would be at least SOME dinos which would raise their young... maybe not all of them, but at least some of them would...If you look at Maiasaura, Protoceratops and as Deepu_ravi added Psittacosaurus -- that is...

I don't doubt it, in fact it's obvious that they do but do they learn from their parents is the question not whether they were taken care of that should be asked

Well, True it is.
But if you look at some creatures -eg: mammals/birds they seem to teach their offspring how to live and hunt.
At the moment, I don't think their is much hard proof for Dinos doing this... but then again, it COULD be possible.
So assuming it might be, I think that Dinos would end up reacting differently in a real life Jurassic Park because these 'Modern day dinos' wouldn't know how to act or behave like 'real' ones.

Ohh, and if you've read the book, The Lost World:JP, you'll see what I mean. It talks about how the Raptors were killing each other for survival of the fittest, instead of how they were expected to live.
Also, it talks about a disease which spread throughout the whole park, effecting the dinos because Human Keepers were feeding them the wrong type of protein or something like that...

Well anyway, looking forward to more replies and opinions here...!
I only joined like the other week, and already I've fallen in love with this website! *lol*

yep I remember it was sheep serum which had prions, and the disease was called DX. Nissin I'm having fun debating this with you. We have no idea how the dinos organized themselves so no matter what we'll guessing at if it's right or not and you know what I don't think many people would really care, it would a miracle to have them alive and hopefully have them breeding, Herbivores don't generally need to learn what to eat they just eat and keep going, predators generally learn somewhat but how much of this is instinct I'm not sure a fair bit I believe.

Yep that was it! The problem they had by feeding it the animal protein, which resulted in the disease...

But anyway moving on... *lol*, I'm enjoying debating with you too, I actually thought that most people would find it kinda annoying that I kept finding SOMETHING to say back all the time...
Then again, I WAS on the school debating team, and I'm quite a public speaker..., not meaning to brag.... *lol*.

Righto -- back onto the topic... I agree with you, it would be GREAT if dinos did still live among us today (ok, so maybe not 'among us'). I'm sure that there would be so many things we would be able to learn. Sadly, not many people care much when it comes to dinosaurs and other prehistoric life... (eg: my mom)... /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="<_<" border="0" alt="dry.gif" /> But heck, if there was a real JP... I'd be one of the many going to visit the place! Who knows what could happen in 10-20-30 yrs....? /unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Again, you're right as to saying that Herbivours would be able to go on without much worries on what to eat and when it came to teaching their young. But Predators may need to teach their own a FEW things...but then again, I'm not too sure if this can be regarded as a fact. I'm sure that at least most of it would be natural instinct .
We need more evidence for this 'thing'...

Well, Better Get Going Now...
Hoping to hear more from You'all soon!
