If Jurassic Park ever happened....

Could Jurassic Park ever really happen? How much of what you saw in Jurassic Park can be considered real? Discuss all of that and more here...

QUOTE If people cloned dinosaurs and made a theme park like Jurassic Park the dinosaurs would not be the size they were 65 million years ago. The reason I think this is I remember hearingsome where that there was about 20% more oxygen in the air than today and that was why they were so big. If they were cloned today they would be extremely smaller because of the less oxygen in the air today.[/quote]

That's the first post but the title says "If Jurassic Park ever happened...." so I say it's open to interpretation, and we're off topic not a big deal we're still talking dinos and science.
When all is said and done and the world is empty how much does it really matter the amount of money you had or what car you drove?

HI everyone,
Sorry haven't been around for a couple of days...
So...want more debates eh...? lol.
Ok, sure!

Now, the concept about Size, doesn't make too much sense -- at least to me. If you cloned a living organism... you would make an exact copy of the orginal! So... for example, if you did clone a T-Rex... you would only grow what was the orginal animal... that includes Size, Physical Weaknesses (such as diseases, Illness...etc).
The only things that would change a cloned organism is how is was brought up, or raised... This can also include its Evivornment.

Back in the day of dinos... apparently there was supposed to be more gases (such as Co2--Carbon Dioxide, and H2--Hydrogen) in the atomosphere...
Today, we have more oxygen in our atomosphere..., I think this would in SOME way affect dinosaurs... we're unable to determine how.
But it's unlikedly to affect its Size.

in one of the national geographic channel programs it was said that the air contained 30% of oxygen.they made this hypothesis by collectin air samples enclosed within amber.

Wow, really?
I didn't know that oxygen could be traced back that far... (in amber that is).
Well, either way, I think that todays atmosphere would in some way slightly effect a dino.

When i said effect a dino, I meant as in the dinos health, no as in size.
