Let me know if you can't view the movie because I used the Xvid codec pack to encode the file. Very crisp & clean. Only 12.5mb.

My favourite Jp trailer...the excellent use of John William's theme, and the fact it never hyped it up too much by the use of showing hardly any of the special effects on it, whereas now they usually show only the best bits of movies. Sorry, this is irrelevant to the original post...

Trailers today show too much. they show all the exciting parts including the end. sometimes they even show the very end of the movie( i can always tell too /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="<_<" border="0" alt="dry.gif" /> ) then when you get to see the movie, it seems boring, and you know how it's going to end. i think trailers should only show things from the beginning of the movie. introduce the characters, portray the conflict/problem/dilema, and show a few exciting shots.

btw, what's that music that plays when all the action is taking place?

It's the music of Backdraft.

Actually the theme used in the trailer wasnt' composed by John Williams, but by another composer, I think it was Hal Zimmers, I was shocked when I found out that Williams wasnt' the one who had composed it. I was thinking that whoever did compose BackDraft (name of the song) should compose for JP IV if Williams chooses not to come back.

The JP trailer has the JP theme from John Williams.

Backdraft was used in The Lost World one. Using music from another movie is very common in trailers. And yes, it is by Hans Zimmer. And avoid him when you can /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> .

Do you know what synth music is? That's what would get JPIV if Zimmer scored it. Ah, and the action music that would be there you already have heard it: Backdraft, The Rock, Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc...

Zimmer's music is not bad, but his usage of keyboards and make real orchestras sound like they are not ( i dont know how he manages to do that...) ruins it all...

There are many talented composers out there that could do JPIV. I would choose Michael Giacchino first, since he can emulate Williams' very well, and secondly i would choose Don Davis, whose music from JPIII was enjoyable. But if Williams wants to do it, i dont have a problem with that /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

To be honest, I thought Zimmer's score for The Rock was superb.
