Okay, maybe this one will get some replies. It's a broad plot outline for JP4. The action centers around a female InGen ranger named Ridley. The events depicted take place shortly before, during, and after Hurricane Clarissa:
- Nedry's Barbasol can is recovered shortly before Isla Nublar's incineration (this should be depicted during the opening credits of the movie)
- The can is brought back to Sorna and is placed in a secure vault where it is refreezed so that it can hold the DNA until more is available. At the present, it is the only available source of the genomes of InGen's dinosaurs. It must be intact if InGen is to survive.
- Clarissa sweeps through the island and the dinos are broken out while most of the humans are killed in the disarray. Only Ridley and a few others are left alive.
- They have to go to a few places.
- First, they must go to an armory containing explosives...
- Second, they have to make their way to the vault containing the DNA, blow it open, and retrieve the Barbasol can, which could now hold DNA for another 48 hours, enough time to get back to the mainland...
- And finally, they have to get to a helipad where an InGen chopper will pick them up.
- Resolution: A voiceover stating that InGen lived on, but Peter Ludlow, Hammond's malevolent nephew, took over the company and turned InGen into a force everyone feared after barely steering it around Chapter 11. By 1998, two more incidents had occured on Isla Sorna, coupled with a debacle in San Diego, California. In 2001, a veteran of the original Nublar incident spoke out against InGen. The fate of Hammond's dinosaurs remains uncertain. But life, as theorist Ian Malcolm once so eloquently put it, will find a way.
