Howdy everyone. Yea, I'm still around, just too busy to come visit lately. I thought this was cool:

A preserved frog found in amber might be 25 million years old:

Cool, huh? It even says they want to extract DNA from it! *in a Mr. DNA voice* "And now, they can make a baby dina-sawer...uh, I mean prehistoric frog." /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

How is everybody these days??

Code: Select all

"If it's well-preserved ... and none of the frog has been exposed to the outside, where air could enter in and oxidize the DNA, it could be possible to get DNA."

"They used frog DNA, and well some frogs have been known to change from one s** to another based on a single s** environment."

I can imagine it now, the eyes of the children like great saucers as the poke their heads through the iron bars, gazing at..... the frogs.

What on earth could possibly be the benefit of obtaining prehistoric frog DNA though? Would they really try to make something out of it? Look, it's a DINA-SAWER FROG.

I say they need to forget the frog and go find some preserved MOSQUITOES. "BINGO, dino DNA!"
