Sam Neill talks JPIV!
Re:Sam Neill talks JPIV!
I fear JPIV will be crushed under the competition no matter when it comes out so long as it's in the summer of 2005. In early summer, you have Star Wars: Episode III. Indiana Jones IV will be released on the July 4th weekend. It won't be a good box office summer for Universal I fear.

Which is sad; the new Star Wars trilogy has been REALLY disappointing so far, but it will probably dominate the box office.

Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and ye perish from the man, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Arise, O Lord; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in Thy sight. I shall purify all with a single blow. Mine enemies stand before mine eyes. Who shall mourn for Division XIII? Who shall mourn for the Vatican?"

I find a similar phenomenon with the JP trilogy.

Everyone loved JP...
Most fans liked TLW, but non-fans loathed it...
Every JP fan in the Northern and Southern hemisphere combined ( ) absolutely hated JP///, but like-wise evryone else loved it.

Alright, maybe not so similar, but I can't help bringing it up every chance I get...

Well not all of us HATED it.
I, for one, didn't think it was up to par, but that's a long way from hate.
Re:Sam Neill talks JPIV!
I liked JP3, but as I've said elsewhere, it was purely a "thrill movie," and shouldn't really be included in the main storyline. I mean, all around, the animals acted more like movie monsters than actual dinosaurs, and the design changes to some were a little bit of an extreme departure from the rest of the series (maybe have the Raptors in JP4 keep the quills, but return to the "tiger stripes" from Lost World, and revert the Brachiosaurs and T.rex to their respective JP/LW colour schemes).

Re:Sam Neill talks JPIV!
I dunno whether to consider Sam Neill's return a sign of hope for this movie or a sign of deterioration. Obviously we all like the character of Dr Alan Grant a lot, but I find it is taking a step too much by bring Neill to do another Jurassic Park feature. It is like the studios are becoming dependant on Alan Grant's character to continue the series, like the tabloids will say "the movie wasn't that great, but an upside was the return of Sam Neill's character to the flick". This is clearly an image of weakness that they have to rely on a character and actor to return to make a movie about dinosaurs succeed. In my opinion, as much as I like Grant and Neill, I think it could be leading to the end of the series.

And I recommend you wait for LXG to come on on video. :-
Scudworth: I first got the idea for Cloney Island after seeing the movie Jurassic Park 3! But my ill-concieved amusement park will be filled with human clones instead of zoo animals! It's as fool-proof as the amusement park in the movie it's self!
