New ones? i dont think so..
Re:New ones? i dont think so..
I'm really surprised that (it would appear) nobody here has ever read the books. If you had, you would realize that the lysene (sp?) dependancy didn't work. Just like the security precaution of making all of the dinos female didn't work. If you look at the books, ALL of the dinos on Nublar (wild or in pens) were (supposedly) killed at the end when they basically bombed the island. I suppose you could say that some survived unknowingly, or if they just stick with what we know from the previous films you could deny that the bombing ever happened.

To be honest, I saw the first movie before I read the books. I thought the movie was fantastic, but after reading the book and realizing how condensed and watered down the movie was (and I won't even talk about the butcher job they did on TLW), I have never been able to see the movie in the same way again.
Re:New ones? i dont think so..
Well many of us have read the books, and of course they are much better, but what they say about dinosaurs in Nublar is because they're basing in the movies, because the books and the movies are too separated universes.
Re:New ones? i dont think so..
Ok, I can accept your arguments that the books and movies are seperate. However, there is still a problem here, as relates to the Lysine argument. In the move JP1, Grant clearly finds Raptor eggs in the wild. Ingen is only supplying enough Lysine for the dinosaurs that they are aware of. They don't know about the wild Raptors and any other species that may be breeding in the park. So they aren't supplying them with Lysine. Yet the dinos in the wild are surviving. You might argue that they are killing the dinos that are getting the Lysine and thats how they get it (the dead dinos have lysine in their system). I still don't think that would be enough for them to survive. This is an inference that the lysine dependancy isnt working. Plus, the whole fact that Sorna exists at all...who is giving them Lysine? They must be immue to the dependancy. Thats the only explanation...unless you have a better one?

Perhaps the dinosaurs grew out of their need for lycene after one generation. Or perhaps I'm just making up excuses..

Sara Harding finds out how they have managed to survive in TLW. Herbivores eat plants that have lysine in their system and carnivores eat herbivores. That's how they survived (in the movies Universe).
