if biosyn are using heatseeking technology and they find where the can is, they must assume it is buried. I think biosyn being involved is still a good, if unfortunately improbable storyline.

The can is not and should not be the focus of the story point. Mud does not refrigerate...Now the Cold Storage Units that Nedry stold from would certainly contain viable embryos still or if they went to Sorna, like in TLW novel, and stold Dinosaur Eggs. Either one of those two should suffice.

Yes BioSyn should be in JPIV, exspecially this guy,

Still, the argument is that Dodgson got the can BEFORE the 36 hours were up, therefore before the cold storage was over. Even though the other places to get embryos are probably easier, having the can in the storyline would be intriguing.
