Actually, the only reason I didn't say anything with any certainty is because everything we're talking about in this section I last learned of several years ago and I remember precious little.

The earths atmosphere was covered for 1,000 years. I highly doubt that the carcases lasted all these animals for that long.
I was basing the meteor theory on posts preceding my own. I believe that the mass extinction could have been anything like in the TLW novel where behavior caused extinction.
But, in this, we see that a meteor could have caused behavior changes and every tother theory can be traced back to a meteor strike. The same way that humand reasons for just about everything can be traced back to money or a superior being.

The sky was not covered for 1000 years, it wouldn't have lasted more than 5 years at most and not only that not all of the dinos would have died right away and plants would have taken a couple of days - 2 weeks to die maybe longer and those large herbivores would have taken a few months to die out and the carnivores would have taken longer because they are able to feed on the remains of the herbivors as well and when all of the dinos had died out there would have been plenty of little rat like mammals running around everywhere like i said before at the beginning of this topic. Plus if there was dust coming out of the atmosphere for 1000 years then the dust layer at the K/T boundary would be absolutely huge don't you think maybe 2-3 meters thick at least not half a foot which is about what it is if that the layer would also be able to hold a bunch of fossils if it was that thick because the dead would be buried very quickly so you'd be able to see the loss of dinos and increase in little mammals everywhere.So if you can show me where it is said that the sky was covered for 1000 years backed up with good scientific evidence I'll consider changing my opinion of what happened after the impact but until then I rest on the idea that the dust in the sky was gone in 2 years.
When all is said and done and the world is empty how much does it really matter the amount of money you had or what car you drove?
