'Cheating Death:Final Destination 3' has begun filming on April 4th, two days ago and will star Ryan Merriman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Texas Battle. The film will be set six years after the first one and will take place at an amusement park in which A high school senior Wendy Christenson has a premontion of a fatal rollercoaster accident which kills her, her friends and everyone on it and saves her and everyone on the rollercoaster who believe her. Now she must team up with classmate Kevin Fischer in a race against time to help her and the survivors cheat death.

Ryan Merriman and Mary Elizabeth Winstead will star in Cheating Death: Final Destination 3, New Line Cinema's latest installment of the popular horror series, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The story is set six years after the events of the first movie and centers on a high school senior who has a premonition of a fatal amusement-park accident involving her and her friends. When the premonition becomes a reality, those who survive are forced to deal with the repercussions of "cheating death."

James Wong, who directed 2000's Final Destination, is back in the director's chair.

Both Merriman and Winstead can currently be seen in theaters in The Ring Two.

It's a Battle for the Third 'Destination'

He certainly has one of the most unique names in Hollywood but Texas Battle has already saw himself starring in Samuel L. Jackson's Coach Carter and the flick Jump Shot, which is due out sometime in 2005, but the news here has to do with a scoop sent in from 'Quency' and Battle's involvement in Cheating Death: Final Destination 3.

'Quency' tells us that Battle has landed the role of Lewis Romero in the third film in the thrill-ogy.

The film follows high school student Wendy Christensen, who fails to stop the fated roller coaster ride that she predicted would cause the deaths of several of her friends, she teams with schoolmate, Kevin Fischer, in a race against time to prevent the Grim Reaper from revisiting the survivors of the first tragedy. There isn't any information available on the Battle's character.

Battle is repped by Kazarian, Spencer & Associates.

Wow. What an incredible, incredible, incredible waste of forum memory.. Really, I'm so glad I spent my time looking over these posts instead of something worthwhile.

(Seriously, though, the original Final Destination was interesting as a teenaged horror film, but why care about sequels?)
