Jurassic Park Four should be called The Extinct: Jurassic Park. It should take place an unspecified number of years AFTER JP3. The story should revolve around how InGen, in a Hammond's desperate bid to preserve his dream, relocates the Isla Sorna population (or at least a portion of it) to a secret facility guarded by hired mercenaries in the mainland Costa Rican jungle. They are kept there for storage's sake until InGen is somehow able to gather enough funds to privately lease another island letting whatever they want with it, including building another Jurassic Park. But there is more to the story. The head of BioSyn, Lewis Dodgson, wants to take down Hammond's InGen while it is weakened and take control of the DNA stock for his own uses. So, he pays the merc guards to assassinate the InGen officials staying at the facility; they're instructed to assassinate them not with firearms but by releasing the dinos. With the help of his honed industrial spies, Dodgson will be able to seize InGen's remains for little price and without anyone being able to trace the assassinations back to him. Meanwhile, there is yet another facet to the plot. Billy Brennan wants to get back at InGen; the reason being that they captured Alan Grant after the events of JP3 so that he would not be able to divulge any of the company's nasty secrets, especially their genetic manipulation program. He teams up with Roland Tembo, another 'veteran' of Isla Sorna, who basically wants to get back at InGen in general. He never truly forgave InGen, "the company of death", for the gruesome end of his friend Ajay during the events of TLW. The third person coming along is Billy's girlfriend Cheryl. She wants to be among the select people to have the honor of setting eyes on living dinosaurs, seeing as this the FINAL chance to do so.
And so they covertly trekked to the Costa Rica facility, where some really cool $#!7 happens.

I'll write the prologue soon. It involves a Dilophosaurus.

By the way, that's not the whole thing. They haven't even gotten to the facility yet. And besides T-rex23, would you rather some one-dimensional popcorn flick *cough*JP3*cough*? All I'm trying to do is attempting to make a decent story using the mutilated corpse of the Jurassic Park franchise and make the JP series go out with a spectacular bang.

And I couldn't come up with any other title other 'TE:JP'. Bet someone here can.

I don't think it'd work, to be honest. For one thing, there's no reason for anyone to really mess with the dinos in the first place. Hammond already apparently conceded at the end of Lost World to allow Sorna to remain as a biological landmark of sorts, and more or less established the "off-limits" status of the island to begin with. There's no reason for him to mess with it, and with inGen already having the base genetic material, there's no reason for them to mess with it, either. There's also no reason for them to pursue Grant, as he...honestly doesn't know anything really hot or secretive beyond the fact that maybe inGen managed to pop out a couple extra species right as the whole project went under and thus didn't document them. Besides, if they went after him, then they'd go after Billy and the whole Kirby family, too, possibly trace the cell phone calls and shut Ellie and her family up, too.

But really, given how crushed inGen is, and given that, still, none of them stumbled upon anything worth silencing, there's no reason to bother.

Finally, this whole thing about "assassination with dinosaurs" bugs me. And it bugs me for the same reason Jurassic Park 3 bugged me, and the same reason people's propositions that dinosaurs killing military and dinosaurs re-ruling the world be in JP4 bug me. Dinosaurs are not supermonsters. They're animals. They may have bigger teeth and hardier muscles than most animals we're used to, but they're still just animals. They're not gonna deliberately seek out their human captors for some nefarious and devious revenge. Odds are, they simply wouldn't care, and would only use the opportunity to escape their confines as a chance to scout of new territory and food sources, possibly even new migratory trails.

Personally, I think the best possible route for this movie would be some remix of the Lost World novel's premise. The DX disease and Dodgson's final bid for dinosaur materials by some failed eggnapping plan. Only instead of Sarah and Kelly and Eddy, maybe have the team just comprise of the unused Lost World characters (Thorne, Levine) with Lex putting in a return, since her name gets bandied about so much for the fourth movie. Possibly put in Malcolm or Roland as an experience hand, but don't push the returning characters angle too far, for fear of too much plot contrivance to that end.

I say open with Hammond's death & have a big cast reunion for his funeral, then turn the film over to a new cast of characters. It would be cool for like Lex & Billy to have met & be dating, have Tim be Grant's new assistant, or something like that. Have that only be an afterthought just to show what everyones been up to but have the lead story deal only with new people.

Oh & screw the DX. If somebody uses that plot, someone will die. No killing off of the dinosaurs allowed. It'll ruin the whole "Life will find a way" business that's the whole concept behind the franchise.

If you'd read the novel, you'd know that life found a way there, too. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="<_<" border="0" alt="dry.gif" /> DX led to shorter animal lifespans, more carrion, and thus a much larger predator population than a normal ecosystem could support. Disease does not automaticaly equate to extinction, geez.

And given the fact that the island already supports a full breeding Tyrannosaurus population of 4+ animals, two tribes of more than a dozen Velociraptor each, some sort of Spinosaurus and Ceratosaurus presence, some obscene population of Compsognathus, a fully breeding Pteranodon flock, and presumably some of the other predatory animals from inGen's list (Dilophosaurus, Metricanthosaurus, Baryonyx) with rumors of the film featuring an Allosaurus, to boot, the evidence of an off-balance predator-prey ratio like the one DX caused already seems more than prevalent. They may as well go ahead and use it.
