The Demo

Post by KyleRipman »

Well, it's downloading right now, I'll post my thoughts once I've played it thoroughly. What are your opinions?

needs a lot of work, saddly from what ive seen so far.

Audio glitches.
Video problems.
- it skips even on a 1.6GHz machine
the interface looks to graphiced up... more features i say other then looks, it looks to fake and kiddy like.
the graphics are edgy even for a 64MB Radeon.

hmmm more to come... oh yeah texture blending doesnt work well, you see the edges of the textures maps.

no anti aliasing (sp?) so its more jaged

Of course, none of that will be present in the console versions... I hope.

Do PC game demos usually meet all of those requirements?...

The lack of anti-aliasing was a problem, I noticed that as well. The audio and video didn't give me any problems, though. Then again, I AM on a 2.0 right now. In JPOGSetup, run Setup.exe to configure your video a little better.

The helicopter mission was ok, a little repetitive. The car mission was similarly not bad, but controlling the car (and watching it move) leaves a lot to be desired.

Still, I'm really enjoying watching the dinosaurs (which look great) and the taking pictures idea was pretty fun.

I haven't experimented too much with Site B or the tutorial yet, though.

Downloading... Seeing as it is not posted on www.jpthegame.com I reckon this is a leaked BETA! What do you think? I am still downloading but considering the other posts here I think its a beta demo.
