Well, 2004 is coming to an end. So it's the right time to list off your favorite films of the year.

I'll start off with my top 10 list:

1. The Incredibles
2. Ray
3. Collateral
4. The Butterfly Effect
5. Spider-Man 2
6. The Terminal
7. Alien vs. Predator
8. I-Robot
9. The Day After Tomorrow
10. Hell Boy

My list is a bit biased though, I'm a big fan of sci-fi films.

Any top 10 list of movies of the year always include movies that made their theatrical release the SAME year.

Hero's made several theatrical releases, one being this year, so it counts. As for ROTK: EE, it is a new movie. In terms of content and story, the whole movie is almost completely different, so it's technically a "new" release.

Yeah, I know Hero made a theatrical release this year. What I was refering to was The Last Samurai , LoTR: EE, and ROTK: EE. You may view the LoTR extended DVDs as new releases but I don't. I see them as a luxury of DVD, aimed at the fans as a collector's item.
