I read a little while ago on movies.com that a new Ninja Turtles CGI film has been announced to go into production. Also, a CGI Smurfs movie has been optioned, and Steven Spielberg has been toying around with E.T.2. The rumored plot line is that E.T.'s family has been killed and he travels back to Earth to live with Gertie (Drew Barrymore).

(Sigh) Hollywood seriously needs to stop digging up 1980's franchises.

all they do nowadays is rip off old movies...and then they take credit for all the praise...

It's like what Disney was doing a few years back with all those crappy sequels. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

It's kind of like that. Except Hollywood's making re-makes instead of sequels.

Just when you thought that they couldn't dig-up any more 80's franchises, Voltron the movie was announced. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="<_<" border="0" alt="dry.gif" />
