Universal books Hawaii Hotel for JPIV crew.

Post by Oviraptor »

From, www.dansjp3page.com

Universal Books Hawaii Hotel for Fall '04
It looks like plans for JP4 are going forward, albeit a little later than expected: I have it on very very good authority that Universal has booked a "block of at least 80 rooms" at a Hawaiian hotel for the Fall of 2004, for use by the crew of JP4. My source reports that they'll be a "certain crew working on a certain dino movie." Hmm.. Fall of 04, finish filming by Christmas, out in time to hit screens a few weeks before Ep3? And so it begins.

Does anyone else see a JP4 that is released in the summer of 2005 being murdered by Star Wars or Indiana Jones?

Well, on the one hand, if the trend in JP movies continues to get more and more rediculously stupid, then it won't even be considered a Summer Blockbuster anymore. Even the folks who liked JP3 were ashamed. It was outgrossed by friggin' American Pie 2 and Rush Hour 2 and the Mummy 2! Hell, it seems like the only original flick that beat out JP3 was Shrek. And that was for better or worse, a damn cartoon! If they get Joe Johnston to direct another POS like that, then we might as well call it Dinotopia!

On the other hand, sPeilberg's latest idea is said by many to be his greatest to date. That's no guaruntee in the film industry that it will do well, but it's a start. If handled right, Dinosaurs can once again be fun for everyone.

As for Ep 3 and Indy 4, well, in all likelihood Star Wars Episode 3 will be called "Invaders from Outer sPace" and involve a cornball plot with stiff acting, little feeling, overelaborate action sequences and will make nearly twice as much dough as JP4 by disappointed fans who will see it over and over again. And Indiana Jones 4? Please...

Scudworth: I first got the idea for Cloney Island after seeing the movie Jurassic Park 3! But my ill-concieved amusement park will be filled with human clones instead of zoo animals! It's as fool-proof as the amusement park in the movie it's self!
I really don't care if JP4 gets outgrossed, it is suppose to be the last anyway, it's not like the money is imperative for a fifth (like jp3 was), and we all will see it 4 times anyways. I'm really excited they booked a hotel though, this defenitely means plans are a go. I can't wait for what they come up with!!!
This news excites me. ;D

I have serious doubts about Indy 4 ever seeing the light of day, though.
