According to Variety. It was announced today by Universal. I don't have the link to the original news report, I read it at a german site ( http://www.phantastik.de/ ). They say neither Spielberg nor Johnston wanted to helm the movie. Instead, they got the "Con Air"-director. (Did you know that this man is also responsible for Tomb Raider? Ugh! Let's hope for the best.)<br /><br />If anyone with full access to variety.com can confirm this, pease provide the link.

Well, I can understand I fell for it, but Variety fell for it? That was an April Fool's joke at Dan's.
