Attack on the boat in JPIII

Was it the original DNA manipulated Jurassic Park, the return of inGen in The Lost-World, or just the worth-wild running around frantically Jurassic Park III that captured your imagination.

Attack on the boat in JPIII

Post by Anonymous »

Hi, I'm new to all this so just give me time to get use to it.

Does anyone know, what attacked the boat at the begining of JPIII?

Was it a marine dinosaur or fly one?

Ya know, after nearly two years this debate remains unsolved. Many folks believe it was sPinosaurus, but nobody knows how fast he swam so he was supposedly to slow to catch up to it.

Others say it was the pteranodons. But they were supposedly trapped in the aviary. Also it seems unlikely that they would attack two guys in a covered boat hurtling through the fog when Ben and Eric were more vulnerable.

Still others say it must have been an aquatic reptile nobody's ever seen before since the other two have too many flaws.

The best theory, I imagine is that it doesn't really matter. We're not supposed to know. We're just supposed to get the impression that there are unknown dangers on this island that can kill you without you even knowing what they are. Making it the worst place in the world.

Of course, T-rex killed people in unimagineable ways on the boat scene in TLW. There were no raptors on that boat. So you never know these dinos are capable of.

Scudworth: I first got the idea for Cloney Island after seeing the movie Jurassic Park 3! But my ill-concieved amusement park will be filled with human clones instead of zoo animals! It's as fool-proof as the amusement park in the movie it's self!

I've concluded that it had to be something that could fly for the boat was still moving as it was attacked...there's no way an animal in the water could continue attacking the boat the speed it was going...

...actually that would be the exact opposite of speed (animatronic wise)...

There were free flying animals on Sorna, if you remember the end of TLW, but it doesn't matter, really.

I remember when I first came here and had to debate with someone that insisted it was a Spino. lol It's funny to me, now.

Yeah, I think it was Jaws. Jaws can go anywhere in 5 seconds of film time.

Edit: damn, it took me a while to catch that error..
"You sharpen the human appetite to the point where it can split atoms with its desire; you build egos the size of cathedrals; fiber-optically connect the world to every eager impulse; grease even the dullest dreams with these dollar-green, gold-plated fantasies, until every human becomes an aspiring emperor, becomes his own God... and where can you go from there?" "And as we're straddling from one deal to the next, who's got his eye on the planet, as the air thickens, the water sours, and even the bees' honey takes on the metallic taste of radioactivity? And it just keeps coming, faster and faster. There's no chance to think, to prepare; it's buy futures, sell futures, when there is no future." - John Milton

If it was a marine creature the boat would have been destroyed.

It could not have been anything in the water...the boat was still moving!
