If Jurassic Park 4 is made, it cannot be another return to either island. That has been done. Been there, done that. Even if we want to see it, I do not think it would be fresh enough of a storyline or even a rational decision that we'd believe.

Jurassic Park deserves a "final" film, and that is what I continue to hope JP4 turns out to be.

I've never read an official explanation but we can only assume that the explanation was cut from the final film, or left there to make people talk & to possibly feed idea for JP3 (which did mention the San Diego incident but not the boat issue).

I thought it was very entertaining and good. But I fell asleep (too much snow shovelling and then beer drinking) before I found out what happened with little Das.
