In JP, the rex (who is a female) is also on a dark brown-green on the Gallimimus plains, and pale brown in the final scene. That's explained by the fact why we were in the whole beginning of the 3-D in 1992-1993, and the people of ILM didn't controled yet the pallets of colors.

The JP dinosaurs is not only on green-brown colors, see the Dilophosaur! The Trike is blue (see the concepts arts on the DVD), and the Gallimimus has a very pale blue on the top of the head and on it's back (see the concepts arts too).
